Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental & Waste Supervisor to support the resort’s sustainability and environmental management initiatives.

This role is responsible for supervising daily waste management operations, supporting environmental compliance, and assisting with sustainability programs within the property. The position also plays an important role in maintaining environmental performance records and supporting certification requirements.

The ideal candidate has a strong interest in sustainability, environmental operations, and waste management practices within hospitality or large-scale facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily waste management operations including waste segregation, storage, recycling, and proper disposal.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, hotel environmental policies, and sustainability standards.
  • Support waste reduction and recycling initiatives across operational departments.
  • Assist in monitoring wastewater management systems and other environmental control processes.
  • Maintain environmental records and prepare documentation required for environmental audits and sustainability certification.
  • Conduct routine inspections of waste handling areas and coordinate with external waste management vendors.
  • Support environmental awareness initiatives and sustainability training for employees.
  • Assist management in monitoring environmental performance data and sustainability reporting.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in waste management, environmental operations, or sustainability programs, preferably in hospitality, facility management, or large commercial properties.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental regulations, waste management standards, and recycling systems.
  • Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes is an advantage.
  • Experience supporting environmental audits, compliance inspections, or sustainability certification reviews.
  • Familiarity with sustainability standards is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with good documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal departments and external partners.
  • Candidates with experience in sustainability certification within hospitality or resort environments will be highly regarded.
