As an Environmental Specialist, you will manage end-to-end air permitting and regulatory approvals for fast-paced Power Innovation projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. Responsibilities include developing permitting strategies, coordinating across technical, legal, and regulatory teams, managing stakeholder engagement, and tracking obligations through development and construction. The position focuses on evaluating new project opportunities to ensure understanding of key challenges or limitations linked to location, identification of and securing of required air permits and approvals, advises on permit conditions and compliance strategy, and prepares assets for operational handoff. Senior specialists focus on strategy and negotiation, while mid-level specialists handle drafting, data compilation, and process execution.
Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum (4) years’ air permitting and compliance experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum eight (8) years’ air permitting and compliance experience
Preferred: Minimum three (3) years’ experience in air permitting of power and/or other heavy industry projects including evaluation of Prevention of Significant Deterioration and Nonattainment New Source Review.
Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum fifteen (15) years of air permitting and compliance experience
Preferred: Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in air permitting of power and/or other heavy industry projects including Prevention of Significant Deterioration and Nonattainment New Source Review.
