Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join the Home of the Innocents team. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, and committed to maintaining the highest level of cleanliness throughout our facility.

A Day in the Life
As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities. Daily tasks could include dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing common areas, recreational areas, resident rooms, bathrooms and classrooms.

Schedule: PT – Weekends; 7am-12pm
• Every other weekend (or more if shifts are available).
• Potential to pick up extra shifts during the week as needed.

How This Position Contributes to our Mission
• Inspect, clean and disinfect resident rooms, restrooms, offices, and public spaces
• Perform environmental services functions as assigned and in accordance with daily duties lists
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety precautions when performing tasks and when using supplies
• Ensure that all established infection control and universal precaution practices are maintained when performing environmental and laundry procedures
• Report all hazardous conditions or equipment and any occupational exposure to mitigate risks to residents, guests and employees
• Remove waste and soiled linens and restock supplies in assigned areas
• Report maintenance or safety issues promptly
• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure a high standard of cleanliness

Skills and Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English language
• Housekeeping experience in healthcare facility preferred
