Job Description

Under general direction, cleans all areas of the hospital by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors. Demonstrate ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure. Reports to the Manager of Environmental Services. The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician is responsible for maintaining the Hospital environment in a clean and safe manner consistent with standards established by Administration in conjunction with the Infection Control and Safety Committees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school education or equivalent is not required, but one must be able to read, understand written documents and write.
  • Ability to read housekeeping schedules and follow oral directions.
  • After training, be able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Prior EVS experience in a Healthcare Facility preferred.
  • Strong inter-personal skills are necessary.
  • Valid Driver's License required
