Join us as an Environmental Services Shift Manager at Truman Medical Centers, where you’ll be at the helm of a dynamic, dedicated team ensuring that our hospital environment is clean, welcoming, and safe for everyone. You’ll lead by example, inspire others, and ensure that everything runs like clockwork while bringing a smile to your team’s face every day!

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead with Heart: Manage and guide our fantastic cleaning team, making sure the hospital environment is sparkling clean, orderly, and inviting for all who enter.

  • Plan & Organize: Prepare daily and weekly work schedules to ensure that we’re always on top of the cleaning needs of our hospital.

  • Team Captain: Supervise and motivate the cleaning crew, providing support and guidance to help them do their best work.

  • Recruit & Retain: Work closely with our System Training Coordinator to hire, train, and keep top-notch team members who love what they do.

  • Coach & Inspire: Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and mentoring to help your team grow and succeed—because when they shine, you shine!

  • Policy & Procedure Guru: Collaborate with the Operations Manager to help create and implement policies that keep our department running smoothly.

  • Problem Solver Extraordinaire: Be the go-to person for finding solutions and troubleshooting any issues that come up, all while keeping the workplace upbeat and positive.

What You Bring:

  • Leadership Skills: Associate's degree or you’ve got 3-5 years of experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment—whether it’s in cleaning, management, or another field.

  • Motivated & Passionate: You’re a self-starter who’s passionate about delivering excellent service and helping others grow.

  • People Skills: You know how to motivate individuals and teams, solve problems, and keep everyone on the same page.

  • Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable with using computers, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

  • Communication Pro: Whether it’s writing up a schedule, having a one-on-one chat, or coaching a team, your communication skills are top-notch.

  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: You’re a natural planner who knows how to juggle multiple tasks with ease and keep everything running smoothly.

Preferred, But Not Required:

  • An Associate’s degree (if you’ve got one, great! If not, your experience counts for a lot).

  • 1-3 years of leadership experience, preferably in a similar operational environment (but we’re open to all experiences!).
