A leading organization in the healthcare services sector is seeking an experienced Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager to oversee housekeeping operations within a hospital environment. This role is responsible for leading teams, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and driving patient and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong operational experience in environmental services, custodial management, or housekeeping within healthcare or hospitality settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily environmental services and custodial operations
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors
- Lead, train, and develop a team of frontline staff and supervisors
- Drive patient and client satisfaction through service excellence
- Collaborate with infection control and safety teams to ensure compliance with all standards
- Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage schedules, staffing levels, and workflow efficiency
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and organizational policies
- Lead departmental projects and meet established timelines
- Utilize operational systems and technology to track performance and reporting
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or custodial operations
- Experience in healthcare, hospital, or hospitality environments preferred
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
- Customer service and client satisfaction focus
- Ability to work independently and drive results
- Proficiency with computers and operational systems
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work on-site in Grand Forks, ND
- Must be available to work a second shift schedule (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
