Maintains the appearance and sanitation of all areas of Mercy Hospital including, but not limited to patient rooms, diagnostic testing rooms,
waiting areas, staff areas, examination rooms, and operating rooms in accordance with infection control regulations. Disposes of trash,
recyclables, and medical waste according to policies and procedures. Regularly wears personal protective equipment (PPE). Uses bleach on
an ongoing basis along with other hospital approved disinfectants and cleaning products. Operates both a pager and computers to receive
and send communication about patient rooms. Hangs cubicle curtains as needed. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, guiding principles and Mercy Service Standards. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Must be able to read and understand basic instructions. The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums that
must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job.
PREFERRED
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
