Our national Major Projects & Approvals team work on a diverse range of renewable energy, resources and infrastructure projects bringing innovative approaches to approvals strategy and impact assessment, as well as the communication of complex scientific matters. We have deep expertise and delivering pioneering approaches that deliver high quality outcomes for clients and communities.

With a healthy pipeline of projects, we’re growing our team in QLD and we’re creating an opportunity that would be an ideal next step to broaden your environmental management and approvals experience. You’ll join a great team of highly experienced environmental professionals, who’ll provide support and mentorship as you contribute to a range of energy, resources and infrastructure planning & approvals projects.

Here’s what you can expect

  • You’ll join a leading national team of Environmental Approvals & Planning specialists and support the delivery of environmental assessments and approvals across Queensland
  • With a steady flow of projects, you’ll have the opportunity to work across different sectors including energy, infrastructure and resources
  • You can look forward to a variety of activities - reviewing scopes of work, preparing briefs for our broader environmental technical teams, coordinating and reviewing technical assessments, assisting with the preparation of environmental assessment reports and planning applications along with the opportunity for site visits when required
  • You’ll develop your project management and reporting writing skills with great mentors and training programs

Here’s what you’ll bring to have impact

  • A degree in environmental science, environmental management or related field
  • Ideally you will have 3-5 years of experience in planning, environmental approvals, environmental management or compliance with exposure to QLD regulatory frameworks in either a consulting, industry or government setting
  • You’ll have an understanding of environmental management standards, the Queensland planning system and ideally also Commonwealth legislation
  • You’ll have the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of different stakeholders and colleagues
  • You have a passion for the environment and a strong desire to play a key role in delivering positive environmental outcomes
  • You’re keen to build your experience through working on a range of projects, small and large, across various industries
  • You like solving problems, enjoy research and analysis and thinking outside of box
