(Duties & Responsibilities)
Amentum’s Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) Group is seeking a motivated and technically proficient Environmental Professional / Scientist (Geologist / Engineer / Environmental Scientist) with 3-8 years of experience to join our growing team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, the successful candidate will assist in delivering environmental solutions for both private and government sector clients, particularly on hazardous waste sites. Amentum employs advanced engineering and technology solutions to the most significant challenges to make the world safer, more secure, and cleaner by eliminating environmental hazards to create a secure and vibrant future.
Successful candidates must be willing and able to regularly travel to project sites throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to conduct field investigations, implement site remediation programs addressing soil, groundwater, and vapor issues, manage vendors and subcontractors, and collaborate with project stakeholders. You will be part of an integrated mission-driven team dedicated to protecting human health and the environment, eliminating environmental hazards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and making positive contributions to the communities we work in. Responsibilities include leading and managing environmental remediation projects, developing and implementing remedial action plans, overseeing site assessments and field activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, preparing technical reports, interacting with clients and agencies, and staying updated on industry best practices.
As Environmental Project Manager, you’ll lead and support environmental remediation projects that make a real difference to the environment. You will lead projects from planning through execution, remedy assessment and selection, and ultimately implementing remediation strategies while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. You’ll oversee multi-disciplinary project teams, support proposal efforts, and provide mentorship to junior staff.
The role combines office work with periodic field assignments requiring occasional travel with overnight stays. Strict safety protocols and procedures are in place to promote a safe and productive work environment for all employees.
