
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join the established and growing Environmental Protection Team as an Environmental Protection Officer.
The team is responsible for responding to planning applications, managing the Private Water Supplies regime for over 500 commercial and domestic premises, Local Air Quality Management, animal licensing and welfare, noise and nuisance investigations, pollution control, bathing waters and premises licensing representations.
East Suffolk, with easy links to both Norwich and London, stretches from Felixstowe, the busiest UK port, to Lowestoft in the North with 50 miles of beautiful coastline in between, including an Area of Natural Beauty. It is home to Latitude festival, Blue Flag beaches, numerous Nationally Significant Infrastructure projects such as Sizewell C Nuclear power station, Lowestoft flood defences and the Gull Wing bridge and significant regeneration projects for which we play an important consultative role.

A degree (or equivalent level 6 qualification) in Environmental Health or an Environmental Protection related subject is essential.
