Job Description

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Civil Engineering, Forestry, Biology, or related discipline.
  • DENR-recognized environmental training.
  • Training in Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) preferred.
  • Basic Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) training is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental inspection, environmental monitoring, or environmental management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in dam, hydropower, tunneling, mining, water resources, or large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in implementing Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP).
  • Experience working with contractors, consultants, and government agencies
  • Knowledge of Philippine environmental regulations and ECC requirements.
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring techniques and mitigation measures.
  • Environmental inspection and auditing skills.
  • Risk identification and environmental impact assessment skills.
  • Strong report writing and documentation abilities.
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and environmental reporting systems.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental laws, regulations, permits, and project environmental requirements.
  • Verify implementation of the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP).
  • Ensure compliance with ECC conditions, DENR regulations, and other applicable government requirements.
  • Review contractors' environmental protection measures and environmental management procedures.
  • Assist in environmental audits and inspections by regulatory authorities.
  • Conduct regular environmental inspections of construction sites, tunnels, access roads, spoil disposal areas, batching plants, quarries, and other project facilities.
  • Monitor erosion and sediment control measures.
  • Inspect waste management practices, hazardous material storage, and spill prevention measures.
  • Monitor air quality, dust suppression, noise, vibration, and water quality control measures.
  • Assess impacts on biodiversity, vegetation, waterways, and surrounding communities.
  • Identify environmental hazards and risks associated with project activities.
  • Recommend mitigation measures and corrective actions for environmental non-conformances.
  • Participate in environmental incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Assist in emergency preparedness and response activities related to environmental incidents.
  • Verify contractor compliance with approved environmental plans and method statements.
  • Issue environmental observation reports and non-conformance notices when required.
  • Track corrective and preventive actions until closure.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and environmental awareness sessions for contractor personnel.
  • Coordinate with contractors' environmental teams to improve environmental performance
  • Maintain environmental inspection records, monitoring data, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly environmental reports.
  • Record environmental incidents, complaints, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
  • Assist in preparing reports for the Client, regulatory agencies, and lenders.
  • Maintain environmental registers, monitoring logs, and photographic records.
  • Coordinate with DENR, local government units, and other regulatory agencies on environmental matters.
  • Assist in addressing environmental concerns raised by local communities and stakeholders.
  • Participate in environmental meetings and project coordination activities.
  • Support environmental awareness and community engagement programs
