Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret complex environmental data and translate it into actionable strategies for compliance and performance improvement.
• Manage and oversee complex air permitting matters, including determinations, construction, and operating permit applications.
• Compile and submit air emission inventory and Tier II reports for affected company locations.
• Develop and implement Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans, and provide training to ensure compliance.
• Oversee company Risk Management Program (RMP) and facility waste management practices to ensure compliance with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and related regulations.
• Manage spill response, assessment, and cleanup activities as needed.
• Lead environmental audits, identify potential regulatory exposures, and develop corrective action plans.
• Manage wetland and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issues associated with company operations.
• Maintain environmental reserves and asset retirement obligations as necessary.
• Represent the company in high-level interactions with state and federal regulatory agencies.
• Support environmental insurance renewals and claims.
• Develop environmental programs, guidelines, and training materials to ensure compliance with the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and other relevant regulations.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and lead communication with environmental agencies.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in environmental compliance and program management.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and RCRA.
• Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and formulate defensible positions.
• Proven success interacting with regulatory authorities and presenting technical content to varied audiences.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and a focus on practical, sustainable solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments in a dynamic environment.

Additional Requirements:
• Ability to interpret complex technical information and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, and fostering a positive, team-oriented culture.
• A passion for environmental stewardship and continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
