Job Description
As an Environmental Health (EHS) Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the execution and continuous improvement of Procaps Laboratories' Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. Ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the facility. Partners with leadership, supervisors, and employees to identify risks, reduce workplace hazards, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions that promote employee health, safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.
Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related studies and a minimum 3 years of experience creating and facilitating safety programs within a manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Certifications/Training in the following area preferred:
- OSHA General Industry Safety & Health
- CPR/First Aid
- Fire Extinguisher Usage
- Fork Lift
- EPA Regulations and Compliance
- Working knowledge of both Federal OSHA and State of Nevada required safety programs utilized in a manufacturing environment
- Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Familiarity with manufacturing practices, quality standards, and safety principles
- Strong planning and organizational skills required along with the ability to multi-task on projects; high attention to details
- Demonstrate a high level of critical thinking and problem solving
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications to include, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with employees from all levels of the organization; Ability to lead and teach a team
WHAT YOU'LL DO (ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Lead and administer the site's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, local, and company requirements.
- Oversee, maintain, and continuously improve all safety training programs for the organization, including but not limited to:
- Hearing Conservation
- Respiratory Protection
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- First Aid/CPR
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Fire Extinguisher Use
- General Safety Programs
- Ergonomic Safety
- Machine Safety
- Forklift Safety
- Wastewater Compliance
- Air Quality and EPA Compliance Programs
- Identify, assess, and implement actions to eliminate or reduce biological, physical, chemical, and ergonomic workplace hazards through effective risk management practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental requirements, including maintaining current procedures, policies, SOPs, permits, training records, and regulatory documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety and environmental records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Promote employee safety awareness through communication programs, safety bulletin boards, recognition initiatives, and ongoing safety engagement activities.
- Plan, conduct, and support safety inspections, audits, and corrective action programs to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Managers, Supervisors, and Team Leads to evaluate EHS performance, address risks, and ensure alignment of safety objectives across departments.
- Prepare agendas for and facilitate Safety Committee meetings and other EHS-related meetings, ensuring follow-up and accountability for action items.
- Provide recommendations to leadership on EHS initiatives, risk reduction opportunities, and programs that support company goals, operational excellence, and a strong safety culture.
- Verify and maintain company compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking throughout manufacturing and warehouse areas.
- Ability to climb stairs, access production equipment, and perform facility inspections.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
