Job Description

The EH&S Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the company’s Safety and Health Management System, with a strong focus on ISO 45001, OSHA compliance, and all other applicable occupational safety and health regulatory requirements. This role partners closely with Operations, Quality, HR, and Leadership to ensure a safe, compliant, and sustainable working environment across all sites.

Core Duties

  • Leads safety management system governance, regulatory compliance activities, risk assessments, and incident management while promoting a strong, proactive safety culture across the organization.
  • Responsible for ISO 45001 certification and audit activities; managing OSHA compliance, site assessments, Job hazard, risk evaluations, and record administration, and mitigating workplace hazards; supporting safe equipment and process design; investigating near misses; tracking and reporting safety performance metrics; and developing and delivering safety training.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to integrate safety into daily operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and broader management systems, ensuring safety is embedded in operational and strategic decision‑making.
  • Follow company Standard Operating Procedures and actively contribute to maintaining and improving the company’s business management system.
  • Ensure processes remain current and effective while working with accuracy, speed, and urgency to deliver results that support company objectives and customer expectations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in Safety, EHS, or Compliance Engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO 45001 implementation and auditing.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and enforcement practices.
  • Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and follow up skills.
  • Proficiency with reporting tools, dashboards, and management systems.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing and warehouse environments is needed.
  • Ability to conduct inspections, walk production areas, and participate in audits.
  • Familiarity with critical thinking, hypothesis-driven problem-solving methodologies & ISO9001; for example: 8D, DMAIC, Lean Manufacturing, etc.
  • Operation - Process orientation with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, and ability to travel 50% and Occasional travel to company sites
