Job Description

As an Environmental Health and Safety Representative the responsibilities include continued implementation of safety management system to ensure workplace safety is attained to the highest standard. Additionally, the development, implementation, and oversight of environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and programs.

This position reports to the EHS Manager and is located in the Shady Grove, Pennsylvania.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Safety Management System- implementation of new programs, refine programs, and ensure utilization of programs.
  • Environmental & Safety Compliance- conduct audits, record retention, and development of policies/procedures.
  • Training sessions- Environmental and Safety (to include but not limited to Title V, Personal Protective Equipment, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Lockout/Tagout, etc…)
  • Participation in Value Stream Safety Teams (safety lead for specific departments)- actions include ergonomic assessments, inspections, and consultant role for team.
  • Assist EH&S Manager on regulatory reports, incident investigations, proactive safety measures, and site safety plan development.
  • Assist in resolution of safety concerns with Value Stream safety teams.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Safety with a minimum of 1-year experience in EHS or a High School diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in general industry safety practice including experience stated in job functions.
  • Experience from a construction or manufacturing background preferred.
  • Knowledge in OSHA and Regulatory Compliance including air, water, waste, preferred.
  • You must have the ability to positively influence the company safety culture.
  • 30% of time spent in an office environment, 70% on shop floor.
  • Must be available to travel up to 10%.
