Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager | Multi-Site Operations

Location: San Francisco / Redwood City, CA (Hybrid)

Travel: Approximately 50-60% throughout Northern California client locations (primarily day travel)

ABM is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety programs, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and operational excellence across multiple client locations throughout Northern California.

This highly visible, client-facing role is ideal for a safety professional who enjoys partnering with operations leaders, influencing safety culture, and driving measurable business impact across complex, multi-site environments. You will support strategic accounts across manufacturing, facilities management, industrial operations, engineering services, construction, logistics, distribution, and other high-risk environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the EHS leader supporting strategic multi-site client accounts.
• Partner with operations leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive action plans.
• Facilitate Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and support implementation of safe work practices.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, recordkeeping requirements, and company safety programs.
• Maintain OSHA 300 logs, training records, and compliance documentation.
• Deliver safety training, coaching, and field support to managers and frontline employees.
• Analyze safety metrics, identify trends, and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Support new account startups, operational transitions, and client safety initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts that strengthen safety culture and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Two-Five years of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Occupational Health & Safety, HSE, or Safety Management experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and risk assessments.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 50-60%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CSP, ASP, OHST, CHST, or SMS.
• Experience supporting multi-site operations in manufacturing, industrial, facilities management, construction, engineering, engineering, engineering, logistics, distribution, data center, semiconductor, or life sciences environments.
• Experience developing safety programs, leading compliance initiatives, and supporting client-facing operations.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $ 90,000.00– $115,000.00

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.
