Put Your Safety Experience to Work in the Field

Are you a safety professional who enjoys being on-site, working alongside field teams, and turning safety requirements into practical action?

Astro Pak is seeking an Environmental, Health, Safety and Regulatory Field Specialist to support our Field Operations team. You will visit active work sites, identify hazards, assess safety practices, support incident investigations, and help teams strengthen their day-to-day approach to safety.

This position is a strong fit for someone with 1–3 years of relevant experience who can build trust with technicians and operations leaders, communicate concerns clearly, and follow through on corrective actions. Data center experience is valuable, but candidates with transferable field safety experience are encouraged to apply.

Travel is a central part of this role. You must be comfortable traveling regionally up to 80% of the time and working on-site across multiple locations.

What You’ll Do

  • Assess safety in the field: Conduct job walks, inspections, and scheduled quality, environmental, health and safety (QEHS) assessments at customer sites and company facilities.
  • Help teams plan safe work: Support site-specific safety plans, identify program gaps, and help operations teams put practical improvements in place.
  • Support incident investigations: Help gather information, facilitate root cause discussions, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with operations leaders: Communicate findings and advise managers on ways to meet operational needs while protecting employees and visitors.
  • Deliver safety training: Support training sessions, safety communications, and awareness initiatives that connect requirements to the work employees perform.
  • Coordinate across stakeholders: Work with customer representatives, company personnel, and regulatory agencies; support workers’ compensation matters as needed.
  • Track progress and maintain records: Document assessments, findings, and corrective actions; participate in performance meetings; and maintain required reports and records.
  • Support consistent standards: Help communicate and implement applicable EHS requirements across multiple work locations.

What You’ll Bring

  • 1–3 years of experience supporting quality, environmental, health, safety, or regulatory programs.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Health Physics, Fire Prevention, or a related scientific field—or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Experience implementing or supporting safety programs across multiple sites or locations.
  • The ability to recognize concerns, explain recommendations clearly, and influence action without a direct reporting relationship.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through when managing site visits, documentation, and competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A valid Class C driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to meet applicable requirements under U.S. export control laws.

Experience That Stands Out

  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting data center safety requirements.
  • Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.

What to Expect On-Site

You will work in field environments that may periodically be dusty or noisy. Site visits may involve standing and walking for extended periods, climbing, balancing, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

The role requires observing work areas, recognizing visual safety indicators, and judging distances and spatial relationships, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

Why This Role Matters

Your work will directly support the people performing technical work at customer sites. You will help field teams recognize risks, improve safety practices, and turn assessment findings into meaningful action.

If you enjoy hands-on safety work, building relationships with field teams, and supporting multiple locations, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits

  • In addition to highly employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision plans, Astro Pak offers competitive retirement savings and 401k plans, flexible spending, family leave, training and paid time off.
