  • To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to hire a Environmental Health & Safety Engineer based in Chennai, India.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Responsible for implementation and data collection of complex Energy management initiatives across offices and manufacturing sites, ensuring effective energy performance, compliance with company objectives, standards and regulations, and the support of corporate energy efficiency and sustainability objectives, as part of Environmental Team.
  • Collaborate with regional and site-level energy resources, support the coordination and deployment of global Energy Management programs across offices, manufacturing sites, and plants, ensuring consistent results in energy performance, cost optimization, methodologies, governance and alignment with corporate sustainability and decarbonization goals.
  • Define & develop to support global energy budgets, roadmaps, schedules, and performance requirements, aligned with corporate, operational, and sustainability objectives.
  • Support and drive global energy strategies, including energy efficiency, utilities optimization, and energy cost reduction initiatives, ensuring scalability and alignment across regions.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Team to drive the energy performance of critical energy-consuming systems (e.g., electrical networks, HVAC, compressed air, steam) by defining global standards, efficiency criteria, and performance KPI’s, ensuring alignment with corporate energy and decarbonization targets.
  • Act as a global subject matter expert and advisor to Facilities regional leaders, site management, and functional stakeholders, providing direction under established energy policies and intervening as required to resolve complex energy performance, cost, or supply issues.
  • Establish, maintain, and recommend changes to global energy policies, standards, tools, and procedures, driving continuous improvement and maturity of the energy management framework closely with Sustainability, Facilities, Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams to integrate energy objectives into business planning and execution.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of executive-level and technical presentations related to global energy performance, energy efficiency projects, renewable energy initiatives, and energy-related risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure the development and delivery of global training, awareness, and communication programs related to energy management, efficiency best practices, and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct meetings (Regional and Site Level) related to energy performance, efficiency initiatives, awareness and training programs to promote responsible energy use across the organization.
  • Support the integration of customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and external sustainability commitments into global energy strategies, ensuring alignment with ESG objectives, decarbonization goals, and market expectations.
  • Support corporate decarbonization, renewable energy (RE), and Scope 1& 2 objectives by coordinating global energy efficiency initiatives, renewable energy sourcing strategies, and reliable energy performance reporting.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering with 5 years of related experience in energy management or equivalent experience in EH&S, Energy & Sustainability and knowledge of related regulations, utility markets, energy management systems and guidelines.
