Job Description

Reporting to the Sr. EHS Specialist in Thailand, the EHS Intern support everyday SSD business EHS operation, handle EHS data metrics, and rotate through dedicated safety sub-teams

Responsibilities

  • Directly or indirectly provides information and tools to allow Automotive SSD operations personnel to drive EHS excellence every day
  • Support the documentation of compliance requirements pertaining to occupational safety and health compliance requirement, escalated and controlled in all phases of automotive product sales, delivery and service operations
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders on projects, and provide support on operations design and safe work procedures
  • Support workplace inspections, participate in EHS sponsored initiatives, drive continuous improvement using tools, and support emergency preparedness and response activities
  • Support the implementation of risk assessments, job hazard analyses and provides advice on improvements
  • Support vendor-led services for environmental compliance, waste management, personal protective equipment, and training etc.
  • Support the preparation of EHS training to employees on general industrial health and hygiene, hazard recognition and control, injury prevention and other relevant topics
  • Analyze data and report trends, recommend and support risk-reduction plans and corrective and preventive actions
  • Support the preparation of safety committee meetings and other employee engagement initiatives

Requirements

  • Ability to work full time and for a 1-year contract
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or similar.
  • Previous internship or specific coursework relating to corporate environmental impact and safety regulations is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, including experience with SharePoint.
  • An ability to work in a team as well as in an organized and independent manner.
  • A bias for action, with the ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative in approaching challenges.
  • A proven record of prioritizing effectively and handling shifting priorities.
  • A detail driven outlook, with an ability to execute with efficiency, accuracy and speed in a fastmoving and dynamic environment.
