The Impact You Will Make
We’re looking for a detail driven, proactive EHS Coordinator to support daily environmental, health, safety, and security operations across our facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands on, staying organized, and helping teams maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace. You’ll manage hazardous waste logistics, conduct routine safety inspections, coordniate employee safety programs, and assist with a variety of EHS and security projects.
Role Responsibilities
Health & Safety Operations
• Perform weekly EHS walkthroughs to identify hazards, track corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.
• Manage the safety shoe voucher program and Prescription safety glasses program, including employee eligibility and vendor coordination, as well as other PPE programs.
• Support corrective actions timelines.
• Maintain OSHA logs, training records, and safety documentation.
• Assist with ergonomics assessments and workstation evaluations.
EHS Projects & Program Support
• Support EHS improvement projects such as chemical inventory updates, signage improvements, equipment guarding, and safety culture initiatives.
• Track project timelines, deliverables, and communication with cross functional teams.
• Assist with contractor safety onboarding and compliance.
• Help implement new EHS systems and programs.
Environmental Compliance
• Coordinate and schedule hazardous waste pickups, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and documentation.
• Maintain waste manifests, profiles, SDS records, and vendor files.
• Conduct weekly inspections of waste storage areas, universal waste stations, and environmental control equipment.
• Support stormwater inspections, spill prevention activities, and recycling/waste reduction initiatives.
• Assist with environmental reporting and compliance tasks as needed.
Security, Occ health, & Emergency Preparedness
• Assist with emergency response planning, evacuation drills, and first aid/CPR program coordination.
• Conduct routine checks of emergency equipment including AEDs, fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and spill kits.
• Coordinate hearing conservation activities and audiometric testing schedules.
• Assist with respiratory protection program tasks such as fit testing coordination and documentation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in EHS, environmental compliance, industrial safety, or related field.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with employees at all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.
