About the Role

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to support the delivery of civil soil remediation projects based in Gove, Northern Territory. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on hands on fieldwork, technical problem solving, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compliant, and effective project outcomes.

This position is offered on a FIFO roster of 2 weeks on / 1 week off, with flights provided from Brisbane, Darwin, Cairns, and Townsville.

What You Will Do

• Undertake fieldwork on active civil remediation sites, including construction quality assurance, inspections, and verification of soil remediation and environmental protection systems.

• Supervise earthworks, soil treatment, and related construction activities, providing on site technical guidance to contractors and project personnel.

• Assist senior engineers with the design, evaluation, and optimisation of soil remediation methods and environmental control systems.

• Collect, review, and analyse environmental and construction data, contributing to accurate technical reports and project documentation.

• Work collaboratively with team members, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure remediation works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.

• Prepare and maintain safety documentation for field activities, including JSAs and SWMS.

What We Are Looking For

• Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, ideally within civil works or contaminated land projects.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, supported by a practical, solutions focused mindset.

• Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, contaminated land guidance, and environmental legislation.

• Comfortable working across both field based and office based tasks, including extended periods on active construction sites.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery.

• Proficiency with standard engineering and computer software
