About the Project
The Malabar System Alliance is a ten year partnership upgrading wastewater treatment across Sydney’s south and west to support population growth. It improves treatment capacity at Liverpool and Glenfield Water Resource Recovery Facilities and strengthens network performance. The program enhances resilience, reduces environmental impacts and enables opportunities for future recycled water use.

About the Opportunity
You support project teams to meet environmental obligations across multiple work fronts. You coordinate approvals, inspections and reporting and provide practical advice to construction and design teams. You work closely with ACCIONA, Sydney Water and SMEC stakeholders to manage risk and lift environmental performance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Implement CEMP and sub plans

  • Coordinate approvals and permit requirements

  • Lead site inspections and compliance checks

  • Investigate incidents and recommend actions

  • Prepare reporting for client and regulators

  • Support construction teams with advice

  • Deliver training and awareness sessions

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Degree in environmental science or similar

  • Experience on construction or water projects

  • Knowledge of NSW environmental laws

  • Strong communication skills

  • Confident with monitoring and reporting
