ERM Italy is looking for a motivated Environmental Consultant belonging to Categorie Protette – L.68/99 to join our growing team.

The Role

This role is primarily office- and desk-based, with opportunities to participate in on‑site activities depending on client needs.

Our office is located in Milan. We offer flexible working arrangements, while expecting the consultant to attend the office and travel for project activities when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of technical proposals and cost estimates, ensuring alignment with client needs.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders (colleagues, subcontractors, laboratories, regulatory representatives, tenants, and clients) during project preparation and potential fieldwork.
• Assist in environmental data quality control, interpretation, visualization, and preparation of technical reports.
• Contribute to high‑quality project delivery by supporting Project Managers and meeting expectations related to quality, budget, schedule, and assigned scope.

About You

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an environmental discipline (e.g., earth sciences, environmental sciences, hydrology/hydrogeology, geology, geochemistry, environmental engineering).
• Fluency in Italian and English (spoken and written). Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Previous experience in environmental consulting is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of Italian environmental and H&S legislation.
• Belonging to Categorie Protette – L. 68/99 (mandatory).

• Knowledge of GIS or data management tools is a plus.
