An experienced Environmental Advisor is required to support environmental management activities within road infrastructure and DBFM contracts in the Eastern Netherlands. The role focuses on strategic, tactical, and operational environmental management, stakeholder coordination, and support for maintenance and reconstruction activities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational advice on environmental management within DBFM and performance-based contracts.
Support environmental management processes related to renovations, reconstructions, and maintenance projects.
Participate in and lead internal and external stakeholder meetings.
Maintain relationships with municipalities, provinces, water boards, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Coordinate and support issue management and contract amendment processes.
Ensure integration between project disciplines and support collaboration across project teams.
Monitor planning, risks, opportunities, and stakeholder agreements.
Contribute to the development and standardization of environmental management processes within road maintenance programs.
Deliver training and knowledge transfer related to environmental management practices.
Support system-oriented contract management approaches and collaboration with contractors.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Completed HBO degree or equivalent higher professional education.
Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management.
Minimum 5 years of experience in advisory roles within DBFM and/or performance-based contracts.
Experience working with stakeholders such as municipalities, provinces, and water boards in the Eastern Netherlands.
Knowledge of and experience with SCB systems.
Demonstrated experience with issue management and contractor/client collaboration during realization and maintenance phases.
Excellent Dutch communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Experience
Knowledge of technology, contract management, and project management.
Experience facilitating processes and chairing meetings.
Knowledge of the IPM model and collaboration across IPM roles.
Familiarity with the Gelderland (Achterhoek) and Overijssel (Twente) regions.
