Job Description

Job Title: Environmental Administrative Coordinator
Reports to: Senior QA Manager
Department: Quality Assurance


PURPOSE:
This position supports Bureau Veritas’ Environmental line of business (LOB) across Canada to ensure critical components of the management system are appropriately documented and maintained.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create trainee profiles for all Environmental LOB personnel across Canada, including assigning general qualification definitions for quality assurance and safety; archive trainee profiles as required
• Publish Custom Dashboards to Environmental LOB personnel as required
• Maintain training matrices to ensure consistent application of general training requirements
• Assist operational personnel with trainee profile enquiries
• Manage evaluations of externally provided services, including interacting with vendors and subcontractors to ensure records are complete, approved, accessible, and meet all internally and externally defined requirements.
• Assist with the maintenance of Quality Management software to ensure functionality is fit for purpose and consistent across the network.
• Compile and report key performance metrics for the Environmental LOB
• Compile quality metrics data for statistical analysis
• Preparing Quality Management software documentation for approved external use as required

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Technical diploma or BSc with a focus on Chemistry/Laboratory Science or a related discipline preferred
• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control protocols, including familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 preferred
• Hands-on experience with bench level laboratory practices and procedures is an asset
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and technical writing skills
• Excellent attention to detail and drive to produce quality results within tight deadlines while working in a fast paced environment
• Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and complex issues with discretion and good judgment
• Ability to coordinate effectively and promptly with multiple locations by MS Teams, phone, over email or in person

WORK RELATIONSHIPS:

• Internal: Laboratory Operations, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Legal, Purchasing, Human Resources
• External: Vendors, Subcontractors

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• General office environment with some exposure to laboratory environment
• Some evenings, weekends and out of town travel may be required
• Changing priorities and balancing workload to meet tight deadlines

SALARY:
$50,000-$58,240, depending on education & experience
