Your new role

As an Environmental Supporter in API Manufacturing II (M2), you will play a vital role in ensuring that our operations meet the highest environmental standards as we scale production to reach millions of patients. You will act as the environmental responsible for our production facilities, balancing regulatory compliance with continuous improvement and sustainability innovation.

Develop and implement environmental management strategies that align with Novo Nordisk’s sustainability commitments and regulatory requirements.

  • Taking responsibility for the external environment in M2, including sewage, ethanol waste, waste management, air pollution and noise
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, ISO 14001 (environmental management system)
  • Following up on environmental targets and supporting the identification of environmental optimisation projects
  • Planning, executing, and following up on audits to maintain our high environmental standards
  • Contributing to environmental aspects in projects, processes, installations, and work routines
  • Collecting, verifying, and reporting environmental data to track performance and progress
  • Mapping environmental activities to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Your new department

You will join CMC & Product Supply, a global organisation of more than 30,000 colleagues responsible for bringing molecules, devices and products from development to commercial supply. You will be a part of a department supporting the productions area within environment, energy and equipment life cycle management with your primary role to support within environmental compliance and improvement.

Your skills and qualifications

You bring a strong environmental foundation and a collaborative mindset that enables you to influence across a complex organisation. To succeed in this role, you have:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with environmental compliance, ideally within pharmaceuticals, life sciences or other regulated industries.
  • Solid experience with ISO 14001 (ISO 50001 is a plus) and strong knowledge of Danish and European environmental legislation.
  • A proven ability to drive sustainability initiatives and engage stakeholders at different organisational levels.
  • A systematic and analytical approach, strong problem-solving and prioritisation skills, and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly to stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret environmental data and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and possibly Danish, both written and verbal.
  • A natural interest to stay up to date on environmental legislation, trends, and technologies, and to participate in relevant environmental networks
