Purpose of the role
To manage the IT Services department and set the strategic direction, provide support to the bank's senior management team, and to manage IT Service risk across the organisation management of IT Services to support the banks operations and representing Technology service performance with senior stakeholders and managing IT service risk across the organisation.

Join us as an Environment Infrastructure Manager at Barclays where you will spearhead the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will harness cutting‑edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of our digital solutions.
To be successful as an Environment Infrastructure Manager, you should have experience with:
Creating CI/CD release pipelines and being well‑versed in DevOps concepts.
Building infrastructure in cloud environments, preferably on Red Hat.
Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Chef and Ansible.
Strong experience supporting cloud infrastructure, especially aPaaS Red Hat platforms.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Proficiency in Linux / Windows administration with middleware knowledge (WAS, JBOSS, TOMCAT, MQ, Connect:Direct).
Strong experience in Incident and Change Management, collaborating with multiple teams during triage calls and chat forums to resolve issues.
Proficiency in monitoring infrastructure components such as MQ, WAS, JBoss, etc.
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work closely with stakeholders to triage issues and reduce infrastructure downtime.
