Job Description

As an EHS intern, you will work closely with your assigned EHS manager. The main goal is to support the EHS department in developing and growing its EHS management system and safety culture. You will have the opportunity to develop and shape specific projects, which require strong teamwork skills. Identifying problem areas and developing solutions in the field of occupational health and safety and environmental protection are as much a part of your daily work as communicating with other regional teams.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Conducting environmental, occupational health and safety (EHS) inspections at GE HealthCare sites, as well as at customer sites (audits).
  • Supporting the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) in the areas of environmental, occupational health and safety, and energy management (EHS).
  • Administration of applications, for example, for training, accident analysis, or inspections.
  • Organization of training and instruction sessions.
  • Implementation of safety and emergency plans and procedures.
  • Participation in internal and external audits; maintaining certifications according to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Review and follow-up of legal requirements.
  • Other technical and general tasks as needed and upon request to support the EHS department.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences, safety engineering, or environmental management, passionate in EHS ( either one of the 3 areas - environment , health & safety )
  • Strong technical skills with a systematic and thorough approach to problem-solving
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and/or other data analytics tools (e.g Power BI , Smartsheet , web based data management systems)

Desirable Skills:

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively
  • Initial experience in occupational safety
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and meet deadlines
  • Methodological competence
  • Team spirit, commitment, and flexibility
