Shift: Monday – Friday, 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm

ABOUT THE ROLE
The W+D 527 Machine Adjuster is a highly skilled technical professional responsible for the setup, operation, optimization, and maintenance of Winkler+Dünnebier (W+D) 527 envelope converting machines. In this key role, you will ensure safe operations, maintain consistent product quality, and drive efficient production. You will also support machine operators, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain overall equipment reliability.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine Setup & Operation
- Safely and accurately set up W+D 527 envelope converting machines according to job tickets and specifications.
- Configure machine components to meet required envelope size, window placement, flap dimensions, and material requirements.
- Read and interpret job specifications, samples, and layouts to ensure accurate machine adjustments.
- Start and monitor machine operations, making real-time adjustments to maintain optimal performance and efficiency.
Operational Adjustments & Quality Control
- Fine-tune machine settings during production runs to ensure consistent quality and minimize waste.
- Inspect products throughout the run to ensure conformity with approved samples and quality standards.
- Measure and verify dimensions using appropriate measuring tools to confirm accuracy.
- Identify, isolate, and remove defective products from production.
Maintenance & Repair
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and correct machine malfunctions as they arise.
- Assist with more advanced maintenance and machine setups as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area around machinery.
Leadership & Training
- Train, coach, and guide Machine Operators on proper machine operation, adjustments, and safety procedures.
- Support production teams by sharing technical expertise and best practices.
- Promote adherence to safety, quality, and production standards on the floor.
Documentation & Reporting
- Accurately complete production documentation, including job numbers, activity codes, and production reports.
- Communicate issues, downtime causes, and improvement opportunities to supervision.
Additional Responsibilities
- Operate any additional equipment required to perform assigned duties.
- Perform related tasks as assigned by supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1 year of experience adjusting envelope machines such as W+D 527, 627, or 102.
- More advanced or specialized roles may require up to 7 years of relevant experience.
- Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude but limited direct experience may be considered with training provided.
- May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Hand dexterity and strength.
- Flexibility in work hours may be required.
- Standing for long periods of time (8+hours).
- Employee may be leaning into the machine for long periods of time while making adjustments on the machine.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will be on the production floor in a warehouse setting.
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
- Hearing PPE Equipment is required in the work area.
