Title: Ecolite Assistant
Department: Operations
Immediate Supervisor: Plant Supervisory Staff
Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
Position Purpose: Assists in operation of the Ecolite Line

Principle Accountabilities
• Assists with the safe, controlled start-up and operation of the Ecolite line including starting the machine, engaging the feed, and observing the operation.
• Removes finished products from the machine, places product labels, packs items in bags and cartons, and places finished products in proper location as per specifications.
• Performs advanced quality checks, including inspecting and measuring completed pieces, and effectively communicates with operator and supervisor to ensure that finished products are made to required quality specifications.
• Assists in monitoring and adjusting controls to ensure products comply with production standards.
• Assists in maintaining equipment through completion of assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repair techniques as required.
• Assists in recording quality and production metrics via written communication methods and within time deadlines as necessary.
• Aids in the proper and effective operation of the machinery, including assisting to cover lunches and breaks as required.
• Performs all work in a safety-first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor
Essential Skills and Experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
• Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
