Entry Level Systems Engineer - Medium Fidelity Models & Simulations

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As an Associate Level Systems Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), this position will be supporting the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Element Models and Simulation development and integration for updates to the GMD Element. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development and verification of the requirements for GMD Medium Fidelity Models and Simulation (M&S) products. You will develop requirements in DOORS and architecture in Cameo. You will also be responsible for writing and executing test cases for those requirements.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:

  • Education/Experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Required Qualifications: ​

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Experience with or knowledge of one or more of the following: DOORS, Cameo, Python
  • Ability to understand complex system designs and algorithms
  • Experience briefing completed work to stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance and identify root cause and recommend solutions

Desired Qualifications: ​

  • GMD program experience
  • System of Systems Integration experience
  • Ability to derive a system requirement based on capability needs statement
  • Experience verifying requirement implementation
  • Knowledge of Agile development process
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, or the Atlassain tool suite (Jira)
  • Utilization of Digital Engineering environments
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, must be able to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment
