Osborn is seeking an entry level Structural Engineer in our Detroit office location. The ideal candidate would have familiarity with structural engineering concepts and ideas. The candidate would possess a curiosity and interest in learning more about structural engineering.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist Project and Senior engineers to assemble structural work products.
• Design of new building structures as well as structural alterations, renovations, and additions to existing buildings.
• Preparation of structural integrity and assessment reports.
• Design and detailing of structure including calculations and computer modeling, for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures.
• Assist in preparation of design deliverables for SD, DD, CD level documents.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Electrical and Mechanical drawings and attend coordination meetings.
• Perform site reviews and construction administration services during the construction phase.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• EIT registration, or desire to register as EIT, with goal to become PE.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Revit preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-discipline team with senior engineer supervision.
