Job Description

Dewberry's Raleigh, NC office is currently seeking an Entry Level Project Engineer to assist in project and construction management for our construction projects. Construction projects will serve public, private and Federal clients. These projects will vary from our existing facility retrofit and renovation projects intended to modernize a target facility through comprehensive MEP and controls upgrades, general construction tenant improvements, and site/civil upgrades.

At times, travel from the Regional office may be expected, as the majority of the time the position will need to be physically present at the site of construction.

Responsibilities

  • The primary functions of the role will be assisting on project management, on site management/supervision, quality control and safety oversight, and pricing/estimating support for new opportunities and change orders.
  • Provide pre-construction and construction support:
  • Collaborate with other project team members as necessary, including project managers, field superintendents, construction coordinators, and others.
  • Responsible for safety and quality control, following applicable OSHA requirements.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • B.S. Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Possess a wide degree of creativity and problem solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Knowledge of Procore is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software is required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • OSHA 10 certification is preferred

Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
