The Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC) is looking for a highly-motivated Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer. This position is located at Chennai, Tamilnadu. A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Engineering Manager to deliver Engineering statements of work to meet the organizational goals.
1. Entry Level Mechanical & Structural Design and Analysis Engineer
Position Responsibilities:
- Executing projects independently with minimum supervision
- Collaborating & communicating with cross functional teams and all stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with guidance and mentoring from team during project execution
- Positive attitude and highest ethics.
- Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team. Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.

- Must be interested in Mechanical & Structural Design & development lifecycle.
- Develop, integrate and document mechanical, fluid system and thermal environment requirements.
- Develop and maintain the mechanical, fluid systems, component and installation designs using 3D computer-aided engineering tools.
- Provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite-element models and simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle
- Support Mechanical System (e.g. Landing Gear, High lift and other equivalent systems), requirement validation, verification, Development assurance, create qualification test planning and reporting.
- To support mechanical design and analysis of wide range of Valves, Actuators and various systems and other Aircraft /Aerospace components.
- Responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with team members in Boeing organizations and shall provide periodic update on project progress, quality metrics, project summaries, and other related documents.
- In this role, the Engineer will work independently or with minimum supervision to come up with conceptual and detailed designs based on the requirements. And Pro-actively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
- This position will participate and support initiatives of Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, customer engagement etc.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Knowledge of basic Manufacturing & Assembly operations.
- Basic Modelling skills - CATIA/NX/Autocad
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor), or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
2. Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer
Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre is currently looking for Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer to join their Manufacturing Engineering team in Chennai, India, you will be part of a global team working on providing ME solutions to a wide range of Boeing products and services across the world. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) business organization.
A successful candidate will Lead the preparation of build plan, create assembly work instructions and drive process standardization for different Airplane commodities, Structures, Systems and Interiors as these positions will focus on working directly with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to provide Manufacturing Engineering solutions to a wide range of Boeing products and services across the world.
Position Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
- Author and Approve build plan/work instructions for installing components, systems, interiors and other structural assemblies for Aircraft Structural assemblies, Systems and Payloads.
- Create/Modify/Approve Installation plans, fabrication plans, and installation plan audits, CAPP/MES and Author work instructions
- Assists in developing efficient process sequence by analyzing and validating processes, standards and specifications related to aircraft systems.
- Implement the process audits for the prevailing Installation/fabrication plans and ensure they meet the defined standards.
- Identifies production inefficiencies and suggests potential improvements to product or process.
- Implementation of standard work instructions for assembly operations.
- Continuously review the existing assembly process and drive process improvements.
- Assist in implementation of safety procedures, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention and nonconformances issues.
- Participates in the implementation of manufacturing plans. Investigates technical problems.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of analyzing the Engineering Documents and collaboration within the team as these positions will focus on working with the team and support to create, update and review the Boeing IPC/IPD.
Position Responsibilities
- Performs routine data analysis duties and prepares IPC/IPD data.
- Performs analysis of BOM (Bill of materials) and Engineering drawings to create Installation/Assembly breakdown of parts using authoring tools.
- Revise Illustrated Parts Catalog to reflect parts interchangeability, Pre/Post configuration service bulletin changes.
- Follows IPC procedures, publication standards and government/customer specifications for authoring.
- Performs mark-up creation as inputs for illustrations.

Transitions engineering data into documentation used for aircraft maintenance. Maintain aircraft configuration by authoring engineering changes into processes and tools. Verifies technical data for accuracy.
Job Responsibilities:

- Performs analysis of BOM (Bill of materials) and Engineering drawings to create Installation/Assembly breakdown of parts using authoring tools.

- Follows desktop procedures, publications standards and government/customer specifications for authoring.
