Our client, a nationally recognized healthcare and academic organization, is seeking an Entry-Level Healthcare IT Technician to support the activation of a brand-new neuroscience patient care tower in New Haven.

Many entry-level IT roles involve sitting behind a desk resetting passwords and responding to support tickets. This position is different.
You'll spend your time working directly with equipment, technology, hardware deployments, inventory systems, engineers, project teams, and healthcare professionals supporting one of the most significant healthcare expansion projects in Connecticut.

Support the deployment and activation of hundreds of new medical devices and technology assets throughout a newly constructed patient care tower
Receive, unpack, inventory, tag, label, and track incoming medical equipment and technology assets
Assist with equipment installations, hardware deployments, and technology setup activities
Assemble, disassemble, and perform basic troubleshooting on medical and technology equipment
Read service manuals, diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation to support equipment setup and maintenance
Conduct equipment inspections, testing, and quality checks prior to clinical use
Utilize Microsoft Excel and internal tracking systems to document equipment installations, project activity, and inventory information
Maintain detailed and accurate records of equipment status, repairs, deployments, and project milestones
Work closely with Clinical Engineering, Facilities, Technology, and Project Teams to ensure equipment is delivered and activated on schedule
Support equipment moves, upgrades, replacements, and deployment initiatives throughout the project
Assist with identifying and resolving equipment issues while escalating more advanced technical problems as needed
Provide professional customer service while interacting with healthcare staff and project stakeholders
Follow all safety procedures while working in both active construction and healthcare environments
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Strong interest in technology and building a long-term career
Basic Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and within a team environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Haven, CT.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
