Accounting Professional

This role provides an excellent chance to join on the ground floor of a fast-growing mid-sized company with a top-tier culture. Work environments will include both independent and team settings. The employee filling this position will provide accounting and financial support to PJ Fitzpatrick and each of its different markets and products. There will also be many opportunities for personal and professional continuing education. Communication skills will be enhanced as the position will interact with customers, vendors and internal departments including sales and production. The role requires some experience in Accounts Payable, specifically focused on date and invoice reconciliation. This role also provides someone with a quick learning curve the opportunity to grow as the company continues to grow and expand.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Vendor Invoices – Ensure accuracy of invoice data in the GL and reconcile against existing purchase orders

· Partner with Production and Vendors on reconciliation differences

· Timely data input and adjustments are required.

· Reconciliations of open AP to Vendor Statements.

· Prepare daily/monthly reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts, such as AP

· Accounting Entries – prepare and post journal entries into company general ledger. Entries include but are not limited to vendor accruals.

· Identify areas of process improvement and work with others to solution.

· Support for other accounting team members.

· Additional duties as needed.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Pay: Salary of $60,000 with the potential of a monthly incentive

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Strong computer skills – Intermediate Excel experience

· Excellent oral and written communications skills

· Ability to prioritize work.

· Problem solving skills.

· Positive and upbeat personality that fosters ability to work in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

· BS in Accounting or similar major.

· Relevant work experience or internships are a plus.
