Sell and distribute event tickets from Box Office or other locations as needed. Verify ticket and provide appropriate wristband for seating. Provide assistance with seating in proper section. Provide fast and friendly service.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able handle cash and credit card purchases through POS system. Must be customer service and team oriented. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures, hot and cold, while standing and walking for long periods of time. Must be able to read and communicate instructions to guests verbally in English.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
BOX OFFICE – TICKET SALE STAFF:
1. Sell event tickets through various transaction methods, i.e., cash, credit card, comp, etc., while using ticketing system.
1. Provide information about the events and properties.
2. Respond to guest requests in a friendly, welcoming, and competent manner.
3. Accurately maintain billing and other required information.
4. Maintain Box Office organization and supplies.
6. Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
USHER:
1. Walk guest to proper section for seating.
2. Provide additional assistance if necessary.
3. Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
GATE STAFF:
1. Verify ticket and provide proper wristband.
2. Provide additional assistance if necessary.
3. Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS:
• Greet guests in a genuine friendly manner.
• Offer guests and team members assistance if needed.
• Offer closing remarks: Enjoy the show or let me know if you should need anything else.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays. Work is performed indoors and outdoors depending on the nature of the event. When an event is outdoors the work environment is associated with all types of extreme weather and temperatures (hot and cold).
