Job Description

Everforth ECS is seeking an Enterprise Support ISSE (Senior) to work in Fairfax, Virginia. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer and validate implementation of security controls across enterprise infrastructure, hosting platforms, identity services, and network environments supporting Task 4operations
  • Integrate technical safeguards including configuration baselines, encryption mechanisms, logging and monitoring configurations, vulnerability mitigation measures, and access control enforcement in accordance with DoD/ARNG cybersecurity policy and RMF requirements
  • Conduct control validation activities and security assessments to verify proper implementation and continued effectiveness of required security controls across enterprise systems
  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO) sustainment activities, including continuous monitoring, security documentation maintenance, and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) management
  • Coordinate remediation of identified security findings, vulnerabilities, STIG deficiencies, and IAVM compliance gaps across operations and engineering teams
  • Advise operations and engineering teams on secure implementation strategies, defense-in-depth principles, and security architecture best practices to maintain compliant and defensible enterprise environments
  • Perform security engineering reviews of infrastructure changes, system upgrades, configuration modifications, and new technology integrations prior to production deployment
  • Support RMF lifecycle activities including security categorization, control selection, implementation assessment, authorization documentation, and continuous monitoring
  • Manage and maintain accreditation packages for systems operating at Secret and Top Secret classification levels
  • Provide security engineering guidance for enterprise modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, Zero Trust implementation, and DevSecOps pipeline integration
  • Coordinate with enterprise operations, hosting, network, identity services, and cybersecurity teams to ensure integrated security posture across all operational domains
  • Contribute to enterprise security planning efforts related to ARNG initiatives such as A365/DoD365, AESMP, C2C, AUDS-U/C, AGUN, and CBII, ensuring security control alignment across modernization programs

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Clearance: ActiveTS/SCI security clearance required
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience: Extensive experience (8+ years) in information systems security engineering and enterprise IT security within DoD or Federal environments
  • Demonstrated experience engineering and validating security controls across enterprise infrastructure, hosting platforms, identity services, and network environments
  • Experience integrating technical safeguards including configuration baselines, encryption mechanisms, logging and monitoring configurations, vulnerability mitigation measures, and access control enforcement in accordance with DoD cybersecurity policy and RMF requirements
  • Proven experience conducting control validation activities, supporting ATO sustainment, and coordinating remediation of identified security findings across multi-domain enterprise environments
  • Experience managing accreditation packages for systems operating at both Secret and Top Secret classification levels
  • Demonstrated ability to advise operations and engineering teams on secure implementation strategies within complex, geographically distributed enterprise environments
  • Proven ability to provide security engineering governance and technical oversight for integration of new services, modernization initiatives, and configuration changes into existing enterprise environments while maintaining continuous compliance and operational resilience
  • DoD 8140.03Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 671 — System Testing and Evaluation Specialist at the Advanced proficiency level
  • Certifications (one or more required): CCSP or an approved accredited degree (Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering from a regionally or nationally recognized accrediting agency)
