Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new revenues by sealing partnerships with Medium to large insurers and insurance brokers in Southern Africa.
Job Responsibilities
â Develop a Sales territory by conducting outbound sales campaigns aimed at winning business for the company.
â Build a healthy pipeline of business to reflect the potential for the company in the region, and work to qualify viable opportunities to close business in the medium term.
â Meet or exceed a sales quota for net new business with the targeted customers (insurers or brokers) over the reporting period.
â Jointly manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, with support from leadership within the organization.
â Serve as the primary point of contact on the ground, within your region, to coordinate customer engagement on sales activities; discovery, demos, proof of concepts (POCs) etc.
â Effectively use customer relationship management (CRM) tools to manage the entire sales process, providing accurate and timely reports on deal statuses.
â Channel feedback from the market, customers and prospects to the company, to enhance our product offering and market position.
â Report to the CEO/Head of Sales
Job Requirements
â
Minimum of 5 years of Business 2 Business sales experience, selling to Financial Services Institutions/Enterprise businesses in multiple countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
â
Proven track record of exceeding sales quota preferably in Enterprise Technology Solution Sales.
â Highly disciplined, and self-motivated - to execute well in a fast-paced environment.
â Understands sales process and the need for timely updates.
â Goal-getter, creative thinker & solution oriented.
â Agile learner with a competitive spirit.
â Knowledge of sales methodologies and frameworks such as consultative selling, MEDDIC, etc.
â Excellent persuasive, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
â Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
â Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Bonus points if you:
â Have SaaS experience.
â Have an existing network and experience selling to the insurance industry.
â Have Business proficiency in Arabic, French, and Swahili.
