Position Requirements

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Organizational Leadership or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 6+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, operational risk, controls, issue management, incident management, compliance, audit or a related risk discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing or improving risk frameworks, methodologies, standards, processes or governance routines in a complex organization.
  • Strong ability to influence through relationships, lead through ambiguity and drive adoption across matrixed teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services, wealth management or other regulated industries.

What will set you apart:

  • Advanced degree or professional certification such as CRMP, FRM, PRM, CPA, CIA, CISA or related risk, audit, compliance or control certification.
  • 11+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide risk, controls, issue management, incident management, compliance, audit or governance capabilities.
  • Experience leading framework transformation, maturing risk programs or implementing GRC-enabled processes across a large, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to connect risk practices to business strategy, regulatory expectations and executive-level decision-making.
  • People leadership experience with a track record of building strong teams, developing talent and creating clarity in periods of change.

Salary Information

Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the firm's Employee Assistance Program.
