Enterprise Process Expert – Procure to Pay Systems Integration (12-month secondment/FTC)

Location: Warsaw

Hybrid Model: 3 days per week from office

The Enterprise Process Expert (EPE) for Procure to Pay Systems Integration plays an important role in AstraZeneca’s Axial transformation programme, supporting the integration of strategic non-SAP procurement solutions with SAP S/4HANA.

Reporting to the Enterprise Process Lead – Procure to Pay Systems Integration, the EPE provides specialist process and integration expertise across the definition, design, harmonization and implementation of end-to-end Procure to Pay processes across the global application landscape.

The role ensures that non-SAP procurement platforms are integrated effectively with SAP S/4HANA and aligned with Axial’s fit-to-standard approach. The EPE works closely with business process experts, solution architects, technical teams and implementation partners to simplify processes, improve integration design and support delivery of a standardized global template.

The successful candidate will bring strong business process knowledge, experience working across business and technology teams, and a proven ability to support large-scale transformation programmes.

What you’ll do

Process design and systems integration

• Support the definition, design and implementation of Procure to Pay integrations between SAP S/4HANA and strategic non-SAP platforms.
• Analyze current-state system integrations and help shape future-state solutions aligned with the Axial global template.
• Work with business and technical teams to ensure integration requirements support standardized end-to-end business processes.
• Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, validate process designs and resolve cross-functional integration challenges.
• Ensure solutions follow fit-to-standard principles and avoid unnecessary customization.

Procure to Pay process expertise

Support integration design across key procurement process areas, including:

• Sourcing and contracting
• Direct and indirect procurement
• External Service Management
• Materials Management

Programme delivery

• Participate in design, build and testing activities across the Axial programme.
• Support sprint planning and prioritization for integration-related activities.
• Coordinate with technical teams to validate interface designs and support defect resolution.
• Contribute to process documentation, design decisions and solution governance activities.
• Identify integration risks, issues and dependencies, and support mitigation planning.

Stakeholder management

• Work collaboratively with process teams, business SMEs, functional teams and integration teams.
• Build strong working relationships across Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Data and IT.
• Support decision-making by providing clear process expertise and practical recommendations on integration design.
• Promote knowledge sharing, best practice adoption and process standardization across the programme.

Essential experience and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Procurement, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of Procure to Pay processes in a global organization.
• Experience working with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience in supporting integrations between SAP and non-SAP business applications would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of procurement systems and their role in the end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
• Experience contributing to large-scale business transformation or ERP implementation programmes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence outcomes and drive alignment in a matrix organization.
