Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for evaluating, documenting, and shaping enterprise IT demand by partnering with business and technical stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable, well-defined solution proposals aligned to roadmap, capacity, and funding constraints.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support discovery exercises to define system enhancement requests through research and stakeholder engagement.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Partner with Business Owners and Business Finance partners to capture the current process, description and impact of the problem, requirements, technical issues, and proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads, including Architecture, Solution Development, and other technical teams to identify and document the proposed solution and associated data flows.
• Capture and prepare Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and timeline assessments based on data provided.
• Facilitate options analysis when new requests exceed available resource capacity and/or impact the existing roadmap.
• Develop and maintain detailed supporting documentation for enhancement requests.
• Prepare detailed flowcharts, diagrams, and other architectural documentation outlining proposed solutions, capabilities, and processes when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Technical or Business Analyst supporting application development; 5+ years preferred.
• Proficiency in IT demand intake processes to effectively gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements.
• Experience managing backlogs, defining user stories, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze business and technical requirements, conduct impact and gap analyses, and recommend solutions aligned to enterprise architecture and roadmap.
• Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail when analyzing demand and proposing effective solutions.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
• Understanding of project funding mechanisms, budget management, and resource allocation to support project execution.
• General knowledge and experience with Agile, SAFe, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, track progress, and mitigate risks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of SDLC and application development processes to guide projects from inception through deployment.
• Strong analytical skills to assess technical requirements, conduct gap analysis, and recommend solutions that meet business needs.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders, present findings, and facilitate decision-making.
• Adaptability and a continuous learning mindset to stay current with technological advancements and industry best practices.
