And we’re on the hunt for a talented Enterprise Marketing Automation Specialist to join our buzzing (and flourishing) Data & CRM team!

This is a hands-on, in-platform role for someone who lives in SAP Emarsys Automation Center rather than the broadcast tab. You’ll own lifecycle automation for enterprise clients with real data volumes, multiple markets and a genuinely connected ecommerce and loyalty stack. We’re open to this being permanent or a fixed-term contract, so tell us what suits you.

Day to day you’ll:

• Own marketing automation strategy and execution across a portfolio of enterprise clients, translating commercial objectives into programs that actually run.
• Design and build lifecycle programs end to end in SAP Emarsys Automation Center, from concept through to live.
• Configure entry sources correctly for the use case: contact list joins, segment entry, external API-triggered events, Web Extend behavioural triggers, and scheduled or recurring entries.
• Build the decision logic that makes programs smart: wait nodes, yes/no splits, random splits for holdout and A/B testing, channel fallback (email to SMS to push), and suppression and exit criteria.
• Assemble and create campaigns in the Visual Content Editor and block-based templates, including personalisation tokens, conditional content blocks, loyalty and product recommendation blocks, and Predict recommendation widgets.
• Implement Send Time Optimisation, frequency capping and contact fatigue rules so automation volume stays sustainable and the audience stays healthy.
• Validate segments and reconcile platform numbers against source-of-truth data, so what we report is what actually happened.
• Keep consent, suppression, deliverability and sender reputation tight across every program you touch, and make sure what we build stands up to the Spam Act and Privacy Act obligations that sit behind it.
• Work shoulder to shoulder with our strategists, data and client teams, and be the person in the room who knows what the platform can and can’t do.

We are looking for:

• Hands-on SAP Emarsys experience building in Automation Center, not just sending broadcasts. (If your depth is in another enterprise platform such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Braze and you’re keen to move across, we’d still love to chat.)
• Working knowledge of Smart Insight, Predict, Web Extend and the Emarsys Open API.
• HTML and CSS for email, plus Emarsys personalisation scripting and conditional logic.
• SQL or strong data literacy, enough to validate segments and reconcile platform numbers against source-of-truth data.
• Experience with enterprise data volumes, multi-market and multi-locale accounts, and integration into an ecommerce or loyalty ecosystem.
• A working command of the compliance regimes that govern this work: the Spam Act 2003 and the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles here at home, plus GDPR where client programs run across multiple markets.
• Deliverability fundamentals, including consent capture, suppression management and sender reputation.
• A methodical, detail-first way of working. In this role a small logic error reaches a lot of people.
• Clear communication skills, and the confidence to explain technical constraints and trade-offs to non-technical clients and colleagues.
• The ability to juggle multiple clients and competing deadlines without dropping the detail.
