Position Overview
BearCom's Enterprise Travel Service Team deploys skilled installation crews to enterprise customer sites — including multi-story office buildings, data centers, and shipping/production facilities — to install and commission Motorola DMR Critical Communication systems and Public Safety DAS/BDA ERCES systems. As an Installation Technician, you are an essential part of a collaborative field crew that takes pride in doing the job right. You'll work alongside experienced team members and field management who are invested in your success and growth. If you're someone who shows up ready to work, communicates well, and genuinely enjoys being part of a team that builds things that matter — this role is for you. This is a travel-intensive hourly role requiring 80% regional travel with occasional national deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, route, and terminate coax, fiber, CAT5/6, and low-voltage cables through walls, floors, conduit, and ductwork in enterprise building.
- Support installation of Motorola DMR infrastructure components including antenna systems, cable plants, and equipment racks.
- Assist with DAS/BDA ERCES system installations including head-end equipment, remote units, and antenna distribution networks.
- Build out equipment closets with racks, ladder trays, J-hooks, and proper cable management.
- Participate actively in system testing and commissioning, contributing as a reliable member of the field crew.
- Attend and engage in on-site kickoff meetings and daily team briefings — your input matters.
- Read and follow installation drawings, schematics, blueprints, and project plans accurately.
- Communicate clearly with teammates and field management — proactively flag issues and share progress.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance at all project sites.
- Adhere to OSHA standards, site-specific safety requirements, and PPE protocols at all times.
- Assist with receiving, inventorying, and staging materials and equipment at job sites
