The Impact You Will Have

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota is hiring an Enterprise Strategic Initiatives Coordinator in Eagan, MN. This role provides hands on support to the Chief of Staff to the CEO and sits at the intersection of enterprise strategy execution and board relations. The coordinator helps track progress against enterprise goals, maintains dashboards and documentation, supports executive strategy forums, and ensures initiatives move forward with clarity and accountability. As backup to the Board Relations team, the role also supports preparation, coordination, and follow through for board and committee activities, including peak quarterly cycles. This position requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and comfort operating in highly visible, confidential environments. It offers a strong developmental opportunity for someone who thrives in fast paced settings, takes ownership, and brings a continuous improvement mindset, including streamlining and automating manual processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Build strong partnerships with executive leaders, Chiefs of Staff, board relations staff, and business stakeholders to support organizational priorities.
  • Navigate a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Apply critical thinking and sound judgment to support decision-making, issue resolution, and initiative execution.
  • Use data, reporting, and organizational insights to help leaders monitor progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Deliver polished communications and materials tailored to executive and board-level audiences.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies, improving processes, and leveraging technology and automation where appropriate.
  • Balance recurring operational responsibilities with strategic project work while maintaining strong follow-through and accountability.


How You’ll Do It

  • Support board operations by assisting the Board Relations Sr with meeting materials preparation, documentation management, and administrative coordination. Provide operational support for board-related activities including quarterly updates, audit committee materials, and meeting logistics, while facilitating communication between board relations team members, administrative staff, and designated contacts as directed by senior leadership.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives by partnering with stakeholders to plan, execute, and track strategic projects; provide thought partnership on priorities, synthesize data into actionable insights, and coordinate execution across teams to ensure delivery against key milestones and outcomes.
  • Assist in planning, facilitating, and documenting strategy workshops, annual planning cycles, executive sessions, and strategic off-site meetings then translate outcomes into clear actions and materials.
  • Develop executive and board‑ready strategic deliverables, including quarterly updates, CEO briefings, reports, dashboards, and presentations informed by internal analysis and external research.
  • Track and manage strategic initiative progress, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and action items; maintain dashboards, documentation, calendars, and reporting cadence.
  • Facilitate proactive follow‑up and alignment with business units, divisional Chiefs of Staff, executive sponsors, and functional leaders to ensure momentum and accountability.
  • Establish and improve processes and workflows to advance organizational goals, while supporting special projects and priority initiatives as assigned by executive leadership
  • Performs additional responsibilities consistent with the scope and level of the role, as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of related board relations professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree; in lieu of a degree, an additional two years of relevant experience beyond the qualifications listed above may be accepted.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Ability to tailor communication to varied audiences, actively listen to uncover requirements, and ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify patterns and root causes, and collaborate with partners to implement practical solutions.
  • Ability to effectively organize work, balance competing priorities, and manage time across multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Legal background to effectively perform compliant, board-related tasks.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in developing, implementing, managing and facilitating meetings.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Experience preparing and delivering board reports and facilitating board meetings and committees.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of leadership including board members, CEOs and executive leadership and staff.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Our hybrid approach is designed to balance flexibility with meaningful in-person connection and collaboration. We come together in the office two days each week – most teams designate at least one anchor day to ensure team interaction. These in-person moments foster relationships, creativity, and alignment. The rest of the week you are empowered to work remote.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $68,900.00 - $91,300.00 - $113,700.00 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
