The Opportunity:
This role is accountable for architecting and governing the future-state finance operating model, ensuring scalability, standardization, and technology-enabled process maturity across FP&A, data governance, automation, and enterprise systems integration. The position carries enterprise-wide impact on finance performance, reporting integrity, and operational efficiency, leading modernization from legacy, siloed processes to digitally integrated, automation-ready, and analytics-enabled operating models
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Define the finance operating model: Own and maintain the enterprise-wide blueprint, ensuring alignment with long-term business and technology strategy.
Lead process transformation: Drive end-to-end redesign across planning, reporting, and data to improve efficiency and consistency.
Establish governance: Set clear process standards, controls, and frameworks to ensure quality and scalability.
Align business and systems: Translate business needs into system capabilities (e.g., SAP/S4, data platforms) in partnership with IT.
Lead a cross-functional team: Manage Data, Automation, and Solution Architecture leads to deliver integrated outcomes.
Drive standardization: Promote consistent processes and scalable solutions across the finance organization.
Guide digital initiatives: Ensure all transformation efforts align with the long-term finance architecture and roadmap.
Influence senior stakeholders: Partner with CFO, USFLT, IT Architecture, and Global Finance to shape priorities and decisions.
Own transformation governance: Oversee program delivery, including budget tracking and portfolio-level accountability.
Build and develop talent: Lead a small, high-performing team (3–5), coaching technical leaders and driving execution in a matrixed environment.
Who You Are:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
Certifications: SAP/S4 or ERP architecture certification preferred; Lean/Six Sigma is a plus.
Experience: 12–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
Transformation leadership: 5+ years leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including large-scale ERP or finance operating model redesign.
Cross-functional leadership: Proven experience managing teams across finance and IT in complex, matrixed environments.
Technical expertise: Deep understanding of finance processes and strong ERP knowledge (SAP/S4 preferred).
Communication & influence: Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate clearly at senior and board levels.
Governance & mindset: Strong focus on governance and risk, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and translate strategy into scalable frameworks.
Location: This position is based in South San Francisco, CA.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of San Francisco, CA is $161,000 - $299,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
