
Synechron is seeking an experienced Data Migration and Data Engineering Specialist supporting large-scale data transformation projects. This role involves leveraging advanced SQL development and Python scripting to support data migration, data warehousing, and enterprise analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will design and execute complex data pipelines, support cloud-based data environments, and apply AI integration techniques to enhance operational efficiency and data quality.
Software Requirements
Required Software Proficiency:
SQL (Snowflake, SQL Server) — advanced skills in designing, developing, and optimizing queries supporting data migration and warehousing (supporting 10+ years)
Python (latest version, e.g., Python 3.8+) — extensive experience scripting, automating data workflows, and supporting data transformation projects (supporting 10+ years)
Data warehousing technologies supporting scalable data storage and data lakes in Snowflake or SQL Server (support supporting 10+ years)
Data migration tools: supporting complex data conversions, migration validation, and reconciliation support
Preferred Software Skills:
Cloud platform support: AWS, Azure, or GCP — supporting data platform migration and cloud-native data management (preferred)
ETL & Data Pipelines: Talend, Informatica, or similar supporting large enterprise data integration support
Overall Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines supporting enterprise data migration, analytics, and compliance needs
Support data validation, reconciliation, and cleansing activities, ensuring integrity during migration processes
Collaborate with data architects, scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into robust data solutions supporting operational and analytical objectives
Support cloud-based data environments, including migration support, schema evolution, and data platform setup
Automate data workflows supporting data load, transformation, and validation operations supporting continuous delivery
Monitor data pipeline performance, troubleshoot failures, and optimize for performance and data quality
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data integrations, schemas, migration processes, and operational workflows
Support ongoing data quality initiatives, data governance, and compliance in line with enterprise standards

Extensive experience with SQL, Python, cloud data migration, and data validation in regulated or large enterprise environments supporting compliance standards
Demonstrated ability to optimize data workflows, ensure data integrity, and support cloud migration projects supporting operational resilience

Collaborate with data teams to translate business requirements into scalable and secure data solutions

Automate data loading, transformation, and reconciliation workflows supporting continuous integration/delivery practices
Maintain detailed documentation for data schemas, workflows, migration processes, and operational procedures

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
10+ years supporting enterprise data management, large-scale data migrations, and data warehousing in regulated environments
Certifications supporting cloud data management or enterprise data governance are advantageous (e.g., Snowflake Data Engineer, AWS or GCP certifications)
Proven ability supporting complex data systems supporting high data volumes and enterprise compliance standards
