This role designs and executes scalable governance frameworks to ensure data is FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable), secure, and business-ready across key domains. It translates zone-level data governance into actionable programs that embed stewardship, uplift data literacy, and build a culture of trust and accountability. The role influences cross‑functional stakeholders while orchestrating metadata management aligned to enterprise architecture and digital transformation goals. Partnering with business units and external providers, it optimizes master data lifecycle management and integration with SAP and other enterprise systems to enable compliant, data‑driven decision-making at scale. This is a 6 month contract role.

  • Drive continuous improvement in data maturity, quality, coverage, and automation by monitoring Group and Zone KPIs.
  • Lead and scale data literacy programs through a structured Community of Practice, uplifting data confidence across business teams.
  • Act as the regional expert for SAP Labelling, overseeing the super‑user network and ensuring seamless integration with enterprise systems.

What makes you successful

  • Proven experience in data governance, master data management, or enterprise data roles within a multinational environment.
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end business processes (O2C, S2P, R2R, H2R, I2L, P2E).
  • Technical proficiency in data governance tools, data quality management, metadata management, and data literacy development.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross‑functional initiatives with clarity and credibility.
  • Strong understanding of system engineering fundamentals, information security, and architecture standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive change, uplift capability, and embed a culture of stewardship.

To deliver on this, we serve with passion, with a spirit of excellence, offering products and services for all stages of life, every moment of the day, helping people care for themselves and their families. Our culture is based on our values rooted in respect: respect for ourselves, respect for others, respect for diversity and respect for the future.

We can trace our origin back to 1866, when the first European condensed milk factory was opened in Cham, Switzerland, by the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company. One year later, Henri Nestlé, a trained pharmacist, launched one of the world’s first prepared infant cereals ‘Farine lactée’ in Vevey, Switzerland.

Today, we employ around 273,000 people and have factories or operations in almost every country in the world. With our headquarters still based in the Swiss town of Vevey, we had sales of CHF 84.3 billion in 2020.

Our portfolio covers almost every food and beverage category – offering products and services for all stages of life, every moment of the day, helping people care for themselves and their families.
