Job Description

Enterprise CX Business Project Senior Advisor

The Business Project Senior Advisor is a senior individual contributor on The Cigna Group’s CX Activation team, a part of the Lead to One Experience team, responsible for leading and executing high-priority customer experience (CX) programs that serve as enterprise sources of truth for CX progress and accountability.

This role combines traditional project and program management responsibilities with hands-on execution. The advisor will drive complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through delivery – establishing timelines, coordinating stakeholders, managing risks and dependencies, and personally contributing to the development of key deliverables and program assets.

Primary areas of responsibility include management of the Customer Experience Source of Truth and the Customer Transparency Report, two highly visible enterprise initiatives that require coordination across multiple functions, rigorous attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable outputs.

While the role has primary accountability for key CX programs, it is also expected to contribute broadly across CX Activation priorities as business needs evolve. The ideal candidate is a utility player who is comfortable stepping into ambiguity, wearing multiple hats, and taking ownership for outcomes wherever support is needed.

A key focus of this role is helping mature these efforts from largely ad hoc processes into sustainable, scalable programs with clear governance, repeatable operating rhythms, defined ownership, and durable mechanisms for ongoing execution and accountability.

Success in this role requires strong project leadership, exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to drive work from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership and Management

  • Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and continuous improvement of strategic CX programs, including the Customer Experience Source of Truth and Customer Transparency Report.
  • Establish and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, governance processes, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Coordinate and influence cross-functional partners to drive alignment, accountability, and successful delivery.
  • Proactively identify and resolve gaps, risks, and ownership needs that may impact program success.
  • Build sustainable operating models, processes, and governance mechanisms that enable programs to scale over time.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to leaders and subject matter experts, facilitating decisions-making and resolving ambiguity across complex initiatives.

Execution and Delivery

  • Serve as an active contributor to project outcomes, not solely the project manager.
  • Develop and deliver program assets, reports, presentations, communications, and other materials that advance business objectives.
  • Gather, validate, synthesize, and translate complex inputs into clear, actionable outputs tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Ensure deliverables are accurate, credible, and aligned with enterprise priorities and expectations.
  • Support broader CX Activation priorities as business needs evolve.

Success in this Role Looks Like

  • The Customer Experience Source of Truth and Customer Transparency Report are trusted, sustainable enterprise assets with clear ownership, governance, and operating rhythms.
  • Complex cross-functional initiatives move forward efficiently because stakeholders are aligned, informed, and accountable.
  • The team consistently delivers high-priority CX work because this individual proactively steps in where needed, drives work forward, and helps remove barriers to execution.
  • Leaders rely on the deliverables, insights, and assets produced to understand and communicate CX progress.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading complex cross-functional programs or initiatives in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Strong project and program management capabilities, including planning, timeline management, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation.
  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives from concept through execution, balancing strategic thinking, project leadership, and hands-on delivery of high-quality work products.
  • Proven experience developing executive-ready materials, reports, presentations, or communications.
  • Strong written communication, synthesis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
