Job Description

The Enterprise Business Development Manager is responsible for sourcing, converting, and managing high-value enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) and white label technology opportunities and sales. The role will report into the Commercial Lead at YAGRO. The role focuses on building long-term, strategic relationships with senior decision-makers, delivering tailored data management and insight software solutions into Agri-food enterprises and driving profitable revenue growth while ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Whilst this is a home based role, you will be required to attend the Cambridge office twice a week. This role is also fixed-term for 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Proactively identify, source, and convert new enterprise prospects through outreach, networking, and market engagement.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, including scoping, tendering conversations and delivery following a consultative sales approach.
  • Achieve defined sales targets and build sustainable pipeline coverage for long term success.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders, including C suite executives.
  • Understand customer business models, risk environments, commercial needs, and strategic priorities.
  • Act as a strategic leader to customers, ensuring value delivery with customer first mindset.

Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with commercial lead, product, delivery and technical teams to develop compelling proposals and solutions.
  • Develop and identify cross-sell opportunities for white labelling YAGRO technology into Agri food businesses.

Market Expertise

  • Maintain deep knowledge of relevant market trends, product developments, customer behaviours, and competitor activity.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in data management and digital transformation to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute insights to leadership to guide product and commercial strategy.

Pricing, Negotiation & Commercial Design

  • Lead pricing discussions with prospects, seeking input from product and technical functions.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and structure programs that balance customer requirements with company profitability.
  • Ensure agreements adhere to commercial governance and regulatory standards.

Reporting & CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in CRM systems (HubSpot).
  • Contribute to annual business reviews.

Representation & Brand Ambassadorship

  • Represent the organisation at industry forums, networking events, and customer engagements.
  • Promote brand reputation and position the company as a trusted expert and market leader.

KPIs & Performance Measures

  • New business revenue generated (value and growth rate).
  • Sales pipeline health and win rate.
  • Customer satisfaction, retention, and account expansion.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of CRM and reporting.
  • Internal stakeholder feedback and collaboration effectiveness.
